" M is for Marbles" is the latest painting to be completed in my Alphabet Block Series of 6" x 6" oil paintings.   When it came time to compose a painting for the alphabet block M there was no question in my mind that it would be marbles.  I continue my love affair with painting marbles with their vivid colors, translucence, and wonderful reflections when light is shed upon them.  Since the letter M is a green letter block I decided on a green and blue composition.  I pulled out my jars of marbles and found a variety of green and blue ( and one yellow for fun!) cateye marbles and set them up with a dark blue background and lighter blue table top cover.  Yes...my love affair with the painting of marbles continues!   "M is for Marbles" will be available for purchase along with all the other paintings completed to date in the Alphabet Block Series at the Simon Gallery of Fine Art in Tucson.
