First Place!

At this afternoon's opening reception I learned that my entry, "All in the Family", won the first place award in the Arizona Pastel Artists Association's Fall Juried Show! A big thank you to judge, Robert, Carstens! Whoo Hoo!!! The show is hung at the Scottsdale Artists' School through November 2nd. It is a great show. Definitely a fun day for this artist!

Woo hoo is right! That is a wonderful painting and a fantastic win. I will definitely get over to the school to see the show this week. I am working in watercolor and oils and longing to time to get back to pastels. You have inspired me.

I just realized I will be there on Thursday to help out with Thirsty Thursday so I will get there early to have time to see it. Can't wait!

Perfect! There are some wonderful pieces. APAA is lucky to have so many wonderful artists. We always get compliments on the quality of our shows from the venues we use. Enjoy!

Yep I remember last year's show. It was terrific. I need more hours in my day to do and try all the art things I want to. I am going to do another pet portrait soon and it will be in pastel!
