Day 8 was only a couple of hours of work as I spent the morning and early afternoon working on the other painting I am trying to finish.   I decided to leave the menu until I am fresh tomorrow morning and spent the time putting initial layers down on Minnie Mouse.  I used grey for the initial layer on the left ear and her arms and upper body.   They are actually black but because of the light reflection have a variety of shades of grey and white.   However, her eyes and nose have black initial layers.    It is nice to see her begin to show up.  You can also see a little more of the oil can that I started previously.  Tomorrow I will start with the red checks in Big Boy's bib overalls.  It will be fin to get some more color into the menu.
