I finished "All in the Family" today. I titled this piece "All in the Family" as there are a variety of peppers represented. This is a 9" x 12" pastel painting that I painted for an upcoming small works show at my Scottsdale Gallery, Amery Bohling Gallery. Small works shows are most often 9 x 12 pieces or smaller. The ristras and chile peppers are showing up everywhere in the stores here in the Valley of the Sun and I couldn't resist buying a few to paint. I especially love the colors in the red chile peppers. Some of them are in color transition with a few fully changed to a dark purple red. The Anaheim Peppers added some green to "spice" up the composition. I am going to do another piece with the red peppers hanging in a bundle. I just love the warm reds, oranges and yellows......can't wait to get started!!
