"Backyard Daisies" is my latest painting.  I received a 12"x6.5"x2" panel as part of an award from a recent art exhibition.  I had been ruminating about what to paint on that size panel from the time I received it.  These little daisies are prevalent in our backyard for the first part of the summer.  They are small delicate little things that have always delighted me.  I decided to feature them in a painting and this size panel made sense for the little flowers.  The neat thing is that they fit perfectly in this little glass jug that dear friends brought me with a single flower bloom in it some time ago.  I knew this darling little 3.75" jug would someday show up in a painting.  A great combination!
