Some time ago I was talking with a friend about my martini series and how much fun they have been to paint. We started throwing out names of types of martinis I have not painted yet. When lemondrop martini was named I instantly envisioned a martini glass surrounded by lemons dropping around it. Soon I found myself sticking needles through the tops of the lemons and hanging them using yarn from a rod above the glass. My initial setup only had a few lemons but I found I just kept wanting more lemons. After two additional trips to the grocery store I was finally happy with the composition.
