"Three-tini" is a 16" x 20" oil on panel painting that was truly a labor of love....with my stress being on labor. When I created this setup I knew the plaid would be a challenge....but I didn't quite realize how much of a challenge. Let's just say I will think twice before using plaid again. "Three-tini" is the second in a series of martini paintings that I have undertaken. I am not a drinker so wasn't really aware....but just a simple Google search made me realize there is potential for this to be a rather extensive series! Who knew there were so many different martinis? I worked as a bartender in a high end hotel/restaurant putting myself through college.....and I do not remember there being such a variety of martinis. Granted....we are talking a few years ago......but still. It's exciting that there are so many options for this series.
