Excited to learn that "Lemondrop Martini", 18x24 oil on panel, was juried into the International Guild of Realism's 2021 Salon. Happy dance!

Camelback Gallery is an organization that promotes themed online shows that draw entries from around the world. A recent theme that caught my eye was Black and White. I just knew I needed to enter my painting, "Playing With Black and White". I received notice today that my painting received one of the bronze awards. For this show the artists are from the countries of USA, Hungary, Russia, Canada, India, South Africa, Ukraine, Germany and United Kingdom. A great way to start your day!

My first painting to be completed in 2021 is "Time and Money", a 20x16 oil on panel.  As a friend and I shared we both are finding ourselves walking around our homes looking for things to paint as this pandemic continues.  This is a clock my husband received at one point for years served working for Ford Motor Co.  It sits on our coffee table.  I happened to look at it as a possible painting subject and picked it up to take into the studio.  As I did for some reason the phrase "time and money" ran through my head and the idea of the money scattered around the base of the clock came to life.  I must admit the money certainly posed a challenge.  The detail in one of our currency bills is amazing.  Another challenge met!
