"Lemondrop Martini" is the latest painting in my martini series.  This is an 18" x 24" oil painting on panel.  IA few weeks ago I was talking with a friend about my martini series and how much fun they have been to paint.  We started throwing our names of types of martinis I have not painted yet.  When lemondrop martini was named I instantly envisioned a martini glass surrounded by lemons dropping around it.  I found myself sticking needles through the tops of the lemons and hanging them using yarn from a rod above the glass.  My initial setup only had a few lemons but I found I just kept wanting more lemons.  After two additional trips to the grocery store I was finally happy with the composition.   What do you think?

I am so pleased to announce that "On The Road Again" (16" x 20" oil on panel) has been juried into the National Oil and Acrylic Painter's Society's 3rd Annual Best of America Small Paintings Show.  The show will be hosted by McBride Gallery of Fine Art in Annapolis, MD.  The opening reception will be Sunday, April 5th and the show will run through May 3rd.  I will be traveling to Annapolis for the show opening events and am looking forward to seeing old friends and making new friends.  Whoo Hoo!
