Introducing "Jacks and Dice", 16x20 oil on panel painting.  I had so much fun painting this setup.  As you may know I love painting reflections and distortions created by glass or metal items.  Finding these large glass jacks was like finding a treasure.  I have a feeling they will be starring in more than one painting.  For this one I did not even get out of the home decor store where I found them before knowing at least one part of the setup.  The mat they had on the counter for signing credit card receipts was a black and white check.  The reflections in the glass balls had me at first glance.  Once home it was quick work to decide to add the dice and the metal jacks.  I almost went with all silver jacks but loved the little gold pops of color in the painting.  My mind is already working on the next setup for the glass jacks.
