Introducing "Before and After" (8x10 oil on panel) is my first painting of our puppy Mia.  Somehow I am thinking there may be more in the future.  She is an Italian Greyhound puppy and has brought such fun and laughter into our home despite everything 2020 has thrown at us.  Like all puppies she is a terror on her toys.  She loved her little Lamb Chop.  I bought her a second one as the first one became unrecognizable and immediately the concept for this painting came to my mind.  Halfway through the painting I thought that I should have left room at the top to put a little halo over her head.  Maybe next time.  

I reported previously that my painting, "Playing With Black and White" (20x16 oil), became a semi-finalist in the Art Renewal Center's 15th Annual Salon.  I learned today that my painting made the next cut and is a finalist.  This is truly exciting for me.  In January they announce the award winners for each category.  This is an international competition so becoming a finalist is truly rewarding.  This is the fourth painting of mine that has achieved finalist status over the years since I started entering.  Very proud!

I am pleased to announce that "Lemondrop Martini" was successfully juried into the National Oil and Acrylic Painter's Society's 2020 Fall Online Juried Exhibition.  The is exhibition is open internationally and always draws a large number of entrants.  I am always happy to receive such recognition for my work.
