"Keys to the Past" was finally finished this week.  This painting took a long time to paint....mostly because halfway through I stopped to pack the studio and move to our new home.  Then came the unpacking and setting up of the new studio space.  Before I could get back to painting I also made a three day trip to Vail, CO to deliver paintings to my new gallery, Vail Village Arts.  This 20" x 20" oil painting is my first painting on a Dibond panel.....and I have to say I am thrilled with the panels.  They are lightweight yet sturdy with a baby smooth surface.  I have been wanting to do a painting of old keys for some time.  Although we have collected some old keys over the years I found a source for antique keys on Etsy.  Looking at these keys brings back a lot of memories.....diary keys, skate keys, etc.  I hope the painting brings back some good memories for you as well.  "Keys to the Past" will be available through Vail Village Arts.
